October 1, 2025: As part of SISP’s positioning as a digital-first publisher and to ensure the best and most current versions are available to the scholarly community, SISP will issue notice of new releases with links to digital editions. SISP will no longer mail print copies.
May 1, 2024: Atoll Research Bulletin is closed to new submissions. Smithsonian’s collection of legacy volumes of the series are available at a dedicated landing page of Smithsonian’s institutional repository.
October 1, 2014: In an effort to encourage sustainability and expand online access to Smithsonian research, SISP no longer mails print copies of the Smithsonian Contributions Series and proceedings to general mailing lists.
October 1, 2013: SISP’s open access series are now published on SISP’s dedicated site powered by Figshare. Open access volumes published on or after October 1, 2013, and their metadata, including DOIs and official publication dates, were migrated to the new site. Archived series volumes are available from the Smithsonian’s institutional repository.
